When you're first getting into video games there are 4 types of consoles you can get. These consoles are the Xbox, the Playstation, the Nintendo platforms, and finally, Mobile. Hopefully I can help you pick which console you fits you the most!
The first system you may want to consider is the Xbox. The first thing to learn is the different tpes of Xboxes. One of these is the Xbox 1 one of the latest models. On this system you can play a wide variety of games. You can pick any game that you like to play! One of these games may be Call of duty. This game lots of people play on Xbox because it suits their play style. But others may pick games such as Minecraft where its more peaceful and easier to play. In general a lot of people would choose this console over most.
The second system I would like to bring up is called the Playstation. There are 5 different playstations, They are the Playstation 1,2,3,4 and the newest one 5. They are in the order they were made. The fist one was playstation 1 which was made in 1994, The Playstation 2 was made in 2000. The Playstation 3 was made in 2006, The Playstation 4 was made in 2015, and finally, The Playstation 5 was made in 2020. The games people play on the Playstation is Fortnite (Of right now). Before you couldn't play Fortnite cross plattforming with Xbox but now you can!
The third console I am going to talk about is the Nintendo consoles. There are SO many you can choose from. But the one that I will talk about is the Nintendo Switch.The Nintendo Switch is the most popular console there. You can download games on this console for free such as other games that are less popular. Other consoles can download free games but you need a membership. Some of the games you can play are Minecraft or Fortnite (like the other consoles mentioned above
The final gaming console I would like to talk about is Mobile/Android. These 2 mobile phones you can play games such as Fortnite on Mobile. You probably have one of these phones already but if you don't then you can play games on the go on a pretty small screen. It is good for if you want to run around without you're console.
